Who is Sentry MD?

Is my information kept confidential?
Privacy of student information is a top priority. Student medical records information is only disclosed with valid authorization. All state and federal laws of health information, including HIPAA Legislation, are followed.
How long does it take Sentry MD to process my submission?
Documents are processed within 1-2 business days from the time of submission. Once processed, you will receive a confirmation email from Sentry MD regarding your compliance status. IT IS IMPERITAVE THAT YOU SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTATION PRIOR TO THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE. An immunization hold will prevent you from registering for courses. There is a slight delay between the Sentry MD and UT Health San Antonio system. Once you meet compliance in Sentry MD, it can take a few hours for your hold to clear on the UT Health San Antonio side.
I have an immunization hold on my account. Can I still register for courses?
An immunization hold will prevent you from registering from courses. All health requirements MUST be fulfilled in order to meet compliance and register. It takes 1-2 business days for your account to reflect your submission, so it is important that you submit documentation several days in advance.
Can I login and view my records anytime?
Active students can login to their account here and view documents and compliance status anytime.
What is the onboarding process?
Students will receive a welcome email containing the required enrollment documentation. Once enrolled, the student will receive login instructions.
How long will my health records be available online?
Student information will be available while the student is active at UT Health San Antonio. After graduation, the records will be kept for 7 years.
Can I combine certain documents into one pdf?
By selecting certain documents, the student can create one pdf containing numerous documents.
Can I print my documentation?
As long as the pc being used is connected to a printer, the documentation can be printed. Once logged into your account, click the “Documents” tab to view, download, and print any processed documents.
I’m about to graduate but I have a Student Clinic Hold, will this affect my diploma?
Student Clinic Holds from expired or missing immunizations only affects students from registering. Graduating students will not be prevented from receiving a diploma.
I have a Student Clinic Hold, will this affect my transcripts?
Student Clinic Holds from expired or missing immunizations only affects students from registering. Graduating students will not be prevented from requesting and receiving transcripts.
Will I be able to access my records from SentryMD after I graduate?
Students will not be able to directly access their immunization records after graduation but can contact SentryMD at UTHSA@sentrymd.com to retrieve their records free of charge.
When is my next Hepatitis B vaccine due?
The hepatitis B vaccine is given as a three-dose series on a 0, 1, and 6-month schedule.
When does my TB skin test expire?
TB skin tests need to be placed annually.

Can I email my immunization records?
Documents should be submitted through your Sentry MD account under the “Documents” tab. If you have any trouble uploading, please contact us at UTHSA@sentrymd.com.
