Resources for Our Pediatric Community

These health education resources for our pediatric community are made possible through the dedicated volunteers from PIVOT, the Pediatric In-Service Volunteer Organization for Training.

About PIVOT

Established in October 2020, the Pediatric Volunteer Team (PIVOT) is a select core of nursing students at UT Health San Antonio who share a passion for pediatrics. PIVOT’s primary aim is to provide primary care services, health education, and empowerment to the children and the parents and guardians we serve in pediatrics at Wellness 360. This aim is achieved through dedicated volunteer hours which contribute to the main campus clinic’s daily operations, a learning series for our pediatric community on social media, and supporting mobile health unit events in the community.  PIVOT was recognized by UT Health San Antonio in April 2021 as the 2020 Community Service Award recipient. It is a practice-oriented, student-driven organization using scholarship to guide its’ steps.
