Preparing For Your Visit
Properly preparing for your visit can help you have the best experience. In addition to providing the information below, we’re happy to answer any and all questions before your arrival. The well-being and comfort of you and your family is our top priority.
The following steps will ensure that your visit goes as smoothly as possible:
- Write down all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you currently take.
- Bring copies of recent test results if they were done by a different doctor.
- At the visit, the doctor will want to discuss your main problem before other concerns. The more detail you can use to describe your symptoms, the better the doctor will be able to diagnose and treat you.
- Write down your doctor’s diagnosis and treatment plan in case you forget a specific detail. You can use this to ask follow-up questions later.
- Following your visit, sign up for MyChart at UT Health Hill Country to communicate with your providers online, see your test results and much more.
What to bring:
- List of phone numbers of family and friends
- Insurance cards
- List of your medications, over-the-counter and prescription
- List of any known food or drug allergies
- Photo ID
- Financial resources to cover your co-payment or balance due at the time of service (cash, personal check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are acceptable methods of payment)
We’d also encourage you to bring immediate family members who can assist you upon your arrival and departure. Our facility is easy to access with front-door drop off and parking in close proximity to the main entrance. It’s our goal to treat you properly and efficiently to get you back to your normal life as soon as possible.
