Dr. Susan McDonald is a board-certified primary care pediatric nurse practitioner. She has cared for pediatric patients for over 25 years in the primary care setting. Dr. McDonald obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Herbert H. Lehman College of the City University of New York; her Master of Science in Nursing from Pace University, Pleasantville, NY; a post-masters certificates as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston; and a PhD in Nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler. In addition to providing primary care services, she teaches undergraduate and graduate students at UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing. Her special interests include caring for medically underserved populations and the prevention of childhood obesity.
